Sports Hall of Fame
Marjorie "Jo-Jo" Vital-Herne- A four-year standout women's basketball player at PBA from 1999-2003, Jo-Jo Vital-Herne became the first women's basketball player ever enshrined into the PBA Sports Hall of Fame on November 20th, 2010.
The program's all-time leading scorer with 1,127 career points, Vital-Herne also holds career marks for the Lady Sailfish in total rebounds, blocked shots, and games played. A four-time All-Conference selection by the Florida Sun Conference during her playing days with the Sailfish, Vital-Herne firmly established herself as one of the top players to ever wear the Lady Sailfish basketball uniform.
After graduation, Vital-Herne would go on to obtain her Master's degree in Social Work from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida where she would then go on to become a mental health specialist and begin a family.
