Sports Hall of Fame
Dr. Timothy Ladd becomes the first non-player or coach to be inducted to the PBA Sports Hall of Fame as he’s served the University as the Faculty Athletic Representative (FAR) since 2003. He is also an Associate Professor of Education at PBA, a position he’s held since 2000.
In 2011, he was named to the NCAA Division II Management Council. In 2014, Dr. Ladd was elected by peers to serve as the council’s vice chair. The following year he became council chair and member of the NCAA Board of Governors. The council, which recommends policy and regulations that govern Division II, serves as primary advisory group to the Division II Presidents Council. In 2015, he represented Management Council at the NCAA DI Strategic Summit.
Before coming to PBA, Ladd taught at Wayland Baptist University and in the public school system of Dallas, Texas. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Baylor University, as well as an Ed.D. from Texas A&M-Commerce. His wife, Kim, is Director of Career Development at PBA. Their daughter, Alana, is a student at DePaul University in Chicago.
