Lawrence becomes the fifth men’s basketball member to join the Sports Hall of Fame at PBA. During his Sailfish tenure the 6’2” guard scored 1,322 points including a senior campaign that saw him average 17.2 points per game. He ranks as the No. 4 all-time scorer in PBA men’s basketball history.

In his four years, Lawrence played in 109 games and made 102 starts. Constantly on the floor, he played 32 minutes a game during his career and led the team as a senior in 2010-11 with 852 minutes played.

The Miami Gardens native was named to the NCCAA All-Region 2nd Team as well as the All-ICAA 2nd Team during his senior year. He made a career-high 27 three-pointers during the season and shot over 45 percent from the floor. In his career he made 44 percent overall and 70 percent from the free throw line. He averaged 3.7 rebounds per game including 4.7 as a senior.

Since graduating in 2011 with a degree in biology, Lawrence went on to complete a masters in professional studies for biotechnology management from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 2014. He has interned at Johns Hopkins Hospital in the chronic disease informatics program and currently works for the Miami-Dade Police Department as a DNA analyst. He recently married Lindsay Lowe Lawrence (’12) and lives in Pembroke Pines.
