WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Palm Beach Atlantic men's basketball team's
Joshua Ward was named to a pair of all-Sunshine State Conference teams on Wednesday.
The junior guard earned all-SSC second-team honors and was named to the SSC all-defensive team. The Memphis native led the Sailfish in scoring, assists, and steals this season. He averaged 15 points, five rebounds, four assists, and 1.7 steals per game.
Ward's efforts helped lead the Sailfish to their best start in program history (15-3) and their first NABC top-25 ranking. The season was highlighted by a win at home against No.1-ranked Nova Southeastern on Jan. 8.
Ward is the eighth PBA men's basketball player in history to earn all-SSC honors. He joins former student-athletes, Jalen Cooper,
Grant Ledford, and Jules Jasmin as other PBA men's basketball players to be placed on the second team.
