Grant Ledford

Bio Divider - PBA Highlights

Grant Ledford joined the PBA coaching staff in June of 2024. He begins his coaching career after finishing his playing career with the Sailfish in the 2023-24 season.

The Sailfish reached new heights in the 2024-25 season. PBA recorded its best start in program history, beginning the year 15-3. The Sailfish earned its first NABC top-25 ranking in their DII-era, being ranked as high as 17th. The team's historic start was highlighted by an 87-84 win over No. 1-ranked Nova Southeastern on Jan. 8. The win goes down as the biggest-ranked win in program history. The Sailfish earned another appearance in the SSC tournament with Joshua Ward earning all-SSC second team and all-defensive team honors. PBA's team defense led the conference in points per game (74.8) and opponent field goal percentage (.425), and opponent 3-point field goal percentage (.327).

“Grant Ledford is everything we’re about as a basketball program and as a University, so to be able to keep him on staff as our Graduate Assistant was a big time advantage for our team," Head Coach Cole Rose said. "As an all-conference level player, he’s been able to set the example to our players of what it takes to be successful and that same work ethic will serve him well as he begins his coaching career.”

Ledford had a successful season on the court with the Sailfish. He led PBA in scoring and rebounding while helping PBA record back-to-back winning seasons for the first time in 20 years. His 217 rebounds this past season are the second most in a single season in PBA’s DII-era. The Tennessee native earned All-SSC second-team honors.

"I am thrilled to return to Palm Beach Atlantic University as an assistant coach,” Ledford said. “As a former player, PBA has a special place in my heart, and I am honored to have the opportunity to give back to the program that did so much for me. I look forward to working with my former teammates and contributing to their development as people and players.  I can't wait to start this new chapter and continue my time here at PBA.”
