Box Score COSTA MESA, Calif. – The No. 31 Palm Beach Atlantic men’s tennis team got their spring break started on a high note, as the Sailfish defeated Concordia University by a 7-2 final. The win is the fourth consecutive for the ‘Fish, and improves their record to 6-2. The loss drops Concordia’s record to 2-7 on the season.
PBA swept through doubles play, as Nicolas Uryson and Hendrik Burmeister led the charge with a 9-8 victory in No. 1 doubles. The win improves their doubles record to 6-1 on the season. Asti Adams and Nicholas Battistini rolled through their doubles match, winning 8-5. Thomas Salmon and Pietro de Silva also won their match, as they won 8-4.
The Sailfish won four singles matches on the day, with several matches going three sets. Battistini won his match in three sets, 6-4, 6-7, 12-10. Adams made easy work of his No. 3 singles opponent, as he was victorious 6-3, 6-2. After Stanislav Feofilov and Burmeister narrowly fell to their opponents, Salmon and de Silva defeated their Eagle opponents, and won the match 7-2.
The Sailfish will be back at it Tuesday, as they will play Biola University at 3:30 pm local time.
