MIAMI SHORES, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic men's tennis team fell to No. 2 Barry on Wednesday at the Buccaneer Tennis Center. The Buccaneers swept both the singles and doubles matches, solidifying their undefeated record.
Barry secured the doubles point with victories across all three matches. The No. 3 doubles match concluded first, with the 'Fish's
Lucas Hoyos and
Bernardo Moutinho falling 6-2.
Matthew Young and
Alejandro Rol Franco were defeated 6-3 at No. 2 doubles. The No. 1 doubles match saw
Peter Dragar and
Milan Visontai, ranked No. 27, losing in a 7-5 contest.
In singles, Barry continued its run, beginning with a 6-1, 6-0 win over
Marko Visontai at No. 5 singles. Hoyos was defeated at No. 3 singles, 6-1, 6-0.
Milan Visontai, playing at No. 1 singles, lost 6-3, 6-1, clinching the overall match for Barry.
The remaining singles matches saw Barry maintain its strong performance.
Alejandro Rol Franco lost 6-1, 7-5 at No. 2 singles, while Dragar was overcome 6-4, 6-3 at No. 4 singles. The final match concluded with Young losing 6-3, 6-3 at No. 6 singles. Barry completed the sweep, finishing with a 7-0 score.
This match marks the end of the Sailfish men's tennis season.
