Men's Tennis Drops Match with Mocs

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic men's tennis team lost to No. 10 Florida Southern 7-0 on Saturday at the Mitch Gornto Tennis Center. The Sailfish managed a victory in the No. 1 doubles match but couldn't clinch any singles wins.

The 'Fish started strong in doubles, with Peter Dragar and Milan Visontai securing a win at No. 1 doubles, edging out their opponents in a tiebreak, 7-6(4). However, PBA dropped the doubles point after falling at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. Imani Beharry and Noah Muyale were defeated 6-3 at No. 2 doubles, while Alejandro Rol Franco and Matthew Young fell 6-0 at No. 3 doubles.

In singles competition, the Sailfish were unable to stop Florida Southern, who swept all six courts. Saidakbar Kamalov faced a tough battle at No. 5 singles, losing 6-1, 6-2. Peter Dragar fought hard at No. 4 singles but was defeated 6-4, 6-0. Alejandro Rol Franco competed at No. 2 singles, falling 6-4, 6-2. Lucas Hoyos made his debut at No. 3 singles but conceded after a 6-3, 6-4 match. Milan Visontai challenged at No. 1 singles but succumbed 7-5, 6-3, while Marko Visontai concluded the singles matches at No. 6, finishing 7-5, 6-1.

The Sailfish return to the courts a week from today at 1:00 p.m. when they take on the Embry-Riddle Eagles.
