WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic men's tennis team celebrated senior day but lost to No. 7 Embry-Riddle 7-0 on Saturday at the Mitch Gornto Tennis Center.
In doubles action, the Sailfish pair of
Saidakbar Kamalov and
Marko Visontai fell 6-2, followed by
Noah Muyale and
Matthew Young, who were defeated 6-4. The No. 1 doubles team of
Peter Dragar and
Milan Visontai also faced a narrow 7-5 loss.
The singles matches saw further challenges for PBA.
Peter Dragar competed at No. 4 singles but lost 6-3, 6-3.
Lucas Hoyos, playing at No. 3 singles, also fell short with a 6-3, 6-2 result. At No. 2 singles,
Alejandro Rol Franco battled but was defeated 7-5, 6-3.
Marko Visontai, at No. 5 singles, experienced a 6-3, 6-2 loss, while
Matthew Young fought hard at No. 6 singles, ending with a 6-3, 7-5 defeat.
Milan Visontai rounded out the singles competition at No. 1 singles, dropping a tight match 7-6(3), 7-5.
The Sailfish return to the court on Tuesday when they take on Keiser.
