Sailfish Sweep First Tri-Match of The Season

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The Sailfish made quite the splash on Saturday, kicking off their season with a commanding 5-0 victory over Barry University and 5-0 victory over Webber International at the Rinker Athletic Campus. PBA (2-0) swept all five matches, delivering a powerful opening statement.

Leading the charge in the top flight, Sydney Corbett and Katelyn Nadeau of PBA dominated Barry's Adrienne Saunders and Marina Azevedo, cruising to a straight-sets win, 21-13, 21-6. This emphatic performance set the pace for the 'Fish.

In the 2s, Maddie Kremer and Sofia Augusto kept the momentum rolling for PBA, dispatching Isabella Rangel and Ellie Madrigal with authority, 21-10, 27-7. Their commanding second set added another point to the board.

The 3s showcased Katie Galligan and Angela Goggin, who secured a point with a decisive straight-set victory over Barry's Alyssa Talcott and Rafaella Bardagi, 21-12, 21-9, sealing the dual for the Sailfish.

After clinching the win, Maggie Cox and Zoye Caroline in the 4s outplayed Danielle Hansen and Alexis Hansen, 21-11, 21-8. Meanwhile, the 5s featured Peyton Baro and Cameron Ring, who wrapped up the day by defeating Isabella Marquez and Alexandra Santory, 21-18, 21-11, completing the sweep for the 'Fish.

Meanwhile, in the Webber game, Maddie Kremer and Katelyn Nadeau led the charge for the Sailfish, taking down the Warriors' Abigail Baxter and Kendall Steinhert in straight sets, 21-19, 21-18. This initial victory set the stage for a stellar performance by the home team.

The 2s, featuring Sydney Corbett and Sofia Augusto, kept the momentum going with a commanding 21-15, 21-11 win over Kaylee Hunt and Vivianne Canico. Their strong showing was echoed by the 3s, where Katie Galligan and Angela Goggin added another point by defeating Brianna Adams and Hailey Mull, 21-10, 21-16.

In the 4s, Maggie Cox and Zoye Caroline sealed the deal for PBA with a decisive 21-9, 21-10 triumph over Bryanna Marks-Craig and Kalyn Morgan. With the victory secured, Peyton Baro and Cameron Ring wrapped up the sweep at the No. 5 spot, overcoming Abby Leonard and Katie White, 21-14, 21-9.

The 'Fish will be back in action next weekend as they take on Florida Southern and Warner University on February 14th.
