WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic head baseball coach
Kent Bottenfield announced on September 16 that Simeon Davis will join the baseball staff as an assistant coach. Davis brings a comprehensive background in both playing and leadership and is expected to make substantial contributions to player development, strategy, and the program's growth.
Davis, a former standout at Penn State Harrisburg, brings a unique combination of high-level playing experience and leadership skills to the Sailfish. During his collegiate career, he was part of three conference championship teams, made three NCAA Tournament appearances, and earned multiple academic and athletic honors, including selection to the United East All-Sportsmanship Team and recognition as a four-time NEAC/United East Scholar-Athlete.
Beyond the diamond, Davis has cultivated leadership experience through his role as President of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Penn State, where he organized events, managed communications, and fostered community engagement. He also carries professional experience in engineering and project management, strengthening his skills in communication, problem-solving, and teamwork—qualities that directly translate to coaching and player development.
Davis, who graduated from Penn State in 2023 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, is eager to begin his coaching journey with the Sailfish.
"I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to join the PBA Baseball program as an Assistant Coach. I want to thank Coach Bottenfield, Coach Calandra, and the rest of the Athletics Staff for their belief in me and for welcoming me into the program. I look forward to contributing to our players' development both on and off the field, and building upon the program's pursuit of excellence in competition, faith, and life."
