WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Palm Beach Atlantic head tennis coach Marc Murray announced on September 12 that Frida Alsterhem will join the Sailfish as an assistant coach.

Alsterhem, a former Sailfish standout and five-year NCAA Division II student-athlete, brings leadership experience both on and off the court. She has served as a tennis instructor in Gothenburg, Sweden, and most recently assisted Murray with team operations, training sessions, and player development at PBA.

"I am excited to have one of my former players join the Sailfish Tennis coaching staff," Head Coach Murray adds. "On the court, Frida was a tremendous fighter with great competitive zeal. Off the court, she excelled in the classroom, being recognized as one of Palm Beach Atlantic's finest in the Rinker School of Business. Frida's talents and her diligence for making things happen on campus and in the community, will help enhance our program tremendously!"

Alsterhem graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic in 2024 with a bachelor's degree in business management and a concentration in franchising, earning the Outstanding Graduate Award from the Rinker School of Business. A decorated scholar-athlete, she was a four-time ITA Scholar-Athlete, four-time SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll recipient, and the 2024 Sailfish MVP. She was also honored with the Clark Boetel Award for leadership and named to the CSC Academic All-District Team.

Off the court, Alsterhem excelled as president of PBA's American Marketing Association, leading the chapter to its first-ever Top 5 national ranking. She was recognized among Miami's Top 50 Women Leaders of 2025 and continues to serve as president of PBA's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Alsterhem is currently pursuing her MBA in Data Analytics at PBA while serving as a Presidential Ambassador Coordinator and a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honors Society.

"I am incredibly excited and deeply honored to step into the role of graduate assistant coach for the Sailfish Tennis Teams under Head Coach Marc Murray's leadership. PBA has been a truly special place for me over the past five years, both on and off the court, and it has been a privilege to compete as part of this team. Now, I look forward to giving back to the program that has given me so much—supporting and mentoring the next generation of Sailfish as they strive for success in competition, in the classroom, and in life. I am grateful to Coach Murray, Courtney Lovely Evans, and her staff for making this opportunity possible."
