WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Palm Beach Atlantic men's basketball team was ranked No. 25 in the latest National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II Top 25 poll following a dominant early-season showing.
The Sailfish are 6-0 so far this season with one of the best scoring margins in the country. PBA has won four straight games by at least 28 points or more. The 'Fish have featured a high-powered offense, averaging over 93 points per game. PBA has made its presence felt on the boards, ranking third in all of Division II in rebounding margin.
PBA has picked up all six wins over in-region competition. The Sailfish have been led by guard
Preston Le Gassick, averaging over 22 points per game while shooting 50 percent from 3-point range on 10 attempts per game.
Tyler Burton and
Graham Worland also average double-digit scoring for the Sailfish.
The 'Fish have been efficient from the field, shooting 53 percent as a team, eighth best in Division II. PBA makes its return to the NABC top 25 after being ranked as high as No. 17 last season.
PBA has a pair of conference matchups this week. The 'Fish host Lynn Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. before traveling to Barry on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
