LAKELAND, Fla. – Following a historic performance at the NCAA South Regional Championships,
Beth Sykes,
Ruth Spijker,
Dominyka Petraskaite, and
Jeanne Corroy have each been named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-South Region Team, marking the most All-Region selections in program history for Palm Beach Atlantic women's cross country.
The quartet played a key role in leading PBA to its first regional championship in program history and securing the program's second-ever berth to the NCAA Division II National Championships.
Sykes was the top PBA finisher, placing eighth overall with a time of 21:49.82 on the 6K course. Petraskaite followed close behind in ninth at 21:53.85, while Spijker came through in 12th with a 21:57.45 finish. Corroy rounded out the All-Region quartet, taking 15th place in 22:08.52.
The Sailfish will now prepare to represent the South Region at the NCAA Division II National Championships, set for Nov. 22 in Kenosha, Wisc.
