WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic men's basketball coach Cole Rose has announced the hiring of Ryan Chlebek as an assistant coach. Chlebek joins the staff after a successful season as an assistant coach at Florida College.

"Ryan is a relentless recruiter that knows the state of Florida, excels in player development, and will immediately add value to our staff," Rose said. "He's worked for some good coaches in Jamon Copeland and Chase Teichmann and understands not only how to win, but also how to develop relationships and impact every part of a program. He is an immediate fit for our culture here at PBA and our basketball program. I could not be more excited for him to join the Sailfish."

Chlebek helped lead the Falcons to a 28-5 season in 2023-24, including a Continental Athletic Conference Championship and a trip to the NAIA National Tournament. Before Florida College, Chlebek assisted at Ave Maria for four seasons. Under his watch, the Gyrenes notched three 20-win seasons, including a trip to the Sun Conference championship game in 2021-22.

"I am incredibly excited to join the Palm Beach Atlantic University men's basketball program," Chlebek said. "I look forward to contributing to the team's success and helping our players reach their full potential both on and off the court.  I am thrilled to be part of this vibrant community and can't wait to get started on this new journey."

PBA is coming off its most wins so far in the Cole Rose era. The program boasted the second-highest winning percentage in its DII-era in 2023-24 and earned its best Sunshine State Conference record since 2019-20. PBA earned back-to-back winning seasons for the first time in 20 years.

Previous coaches Aj Clark and Ryan Montgomery stepped down this spring. Clark is joining the staff at Eastern Kentucky, while Montgomery was named assistant coach at Central Arkansas.
