TEMPE, AZ- The Palm Beach Atlantic women's tennis team entered the ITA Division II National Rankings at No. 40. This is the highest national ranking for the Sailfish under first-year head coach
Carlos Cardona. Additionally, this marks the first appearance for PBA on the ITA national rankings since 2019. It's the highest ranking for the women's tennis program since 2016.
 Freshman
Cecilia Peroni leads the 'Fish with six wins. Peroni (6-0) is undefeated on the season.
Frida Alsterhem and
Alessia Passerini have tallied five wins each. Alsterhem is 5-2 on the season. In doubles competition,
Jasmine Williams and Passerini have earned a team-leading six victories. The pair of
Courtney Page and
Verena Weindl are second on the team in doubles wins with five. Â
PBA (6-7) has notched wins over Southeastern (Feb. 10), Southern New Hampshire (Mar.10), Rockhurst (Mar. 12), Wayne State (Mar. 14), Hillsdale (Mar. 17), and Eckerd (Mar.22.) The 'Fish are currently ninth in the Sunshine State Conference standings.Â
The Sailfish close out the season with Rollins (Mar. 28), No. 1 Nova Southeastern (Mar. 31), Florida Southern (Apr. 2), Embry-Riddle (Apr.12), and St. Thomas (Mar. 14.)
