MIAMI SHORES, Fla.- Palm Beach Atlantic fell to No. 1 Barry University 7-0 on Thursday at the Buccaneer Tennis Center. The Sailfish secured a victory in the No. 2 doubles match, but Barry swept all six singles matches to clinch the win.

Valeria Lopez claimed victory at No. 2 doubles with a 7-6(4) win over Louane Lutringer and Lojan Shaker. However, Barry secured the doubles point with a win by default at No. 3 doubles.
In singles play, Barry extended its lead with a series of straight-set victories. At No. 5 singles, Makayla Whalen defeated
Sunshine Tarpey 6-1, 6-0, quickly followed by Jenifer Anger's 6-0, 6-0 win over Borja at No. 2 singles. Lucie Brun added another point for Barry at No. 4 singles, winning 6-1, 6-0 against Buhagiar. The clincher came at No. 1 singles where 33rd ranked Ailen Crespo defeated Hoermann 6-1, 6-3.
Anastasia Nikolova secured a 7-5, 6-1 victory over Lopez at No. 3 singles. At No. 6 singles, Barry's Louise Martinez won by default. The final dual score was Barry 7, Sailfish 0.
