SEATTLE, Wa. -- The Palm Beach Atlantic women's cross country team finished out their historic season earlier this afternoon after competing in the NCAA DII National Championships. The Sailfish ended their race in 25th place overall out of 34 teams. 

The race consisted of the top three teams in each DII region as well as some teams who managed to get at-large bids. Each team brings their top seven runners, with some runners getting individual at-large bids as well. Madelyn Rodriguez led the 'Fish in this meet. She would finish in 68th place with a time of 21:44. Dune Costes was the second Sailfish to cross the finish line, placing 116th with a time of 22:12. Stephanie Cotter from Adams State would be this years individual national champion with a time of 19:45. Adams State, who has been ranked number one in the country for the entirety of this season, took home the team trophy with three of their runners placing in the top 15. 

Laura Georgelin placed 163rd with a time of 22:49, Allison Seng placed 192nd with a time of 23:09, and Sadie Nordmeyer crossed the finish line in 197th place (23:14) to round out the highest placements for the 'Fish in this race. 

It was a historic season for PBA's women's cross country team and many of their runners will now be preparing for the upcoming spring track season, where they will look to build off of this fall season's success.
