TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Earlier this morning, the Palm Beach Atlantic women's cross country team competed in the FSU Invitational, held at Apalachee Regional Park. The meet consisted of NCAA Division I teams as well as a few Sunshine State Conference members. The 'Fish earned a top five finish out of the 30 teams that participated. 

It was an outing full of personal records for PBA. Laura Georgelin led the way for the Sailfish in this women's 5k, coming in 15th place with a personal best time of 17:57.2. Madelyn Rodriguez, who is coming off of a first place finish at the Embry-Riddle Cross Country Classic, came in 19th place with a personal best time of 18:06.8. Daphnee Lavassas from the University of Miami took home the individual win with a time of 17:10.9. Louisiana State University was the overall team winner for this meet, with three of their runners placing in the top five. 

For the Sailfish, the personal bests kept coming. Dune Costes placed 41st with a personal best time of 18:31.7. Sadie Nordmeyer came in 65th place with a personal best time of 18:53.3, and Allison Seng finished in 72nd place with a personal best time of 18:56.8. 

The impressive performance by the Sailfish today should give them the momentum boost to finish out this home stretch of this season. PBA will race again on Oct. 22 in the Alabama Huntsville Invitational.
