NEW ORLEANS, La. -- Earlier today the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association released their region rankings of week six, right before most teams begin their conference championships. The Palm Beach Atlantic women's cross country team has moved up to second place in the South Region just behind Lee University. 

The 'Fish are coming off of an impressive outing at the UAH Invitational where they finished in sixth place. It is the fourth time in five races that the Sailfish have placed in the top 10 this season. Madelyn Rodriguez and Laura Georgelin have been the running pair that has been the driving force so far this season. Rodriguez most recently won Sunshine State Conference Runner of the Week honors for the second time this year after being the first PBA runner to win the award back in week four of the season. Veterans Dune Costes, Allison Seng, and Sadie Nordmeyer have also contributed to the success of the Sailfish this season. 

PBA will look to use this ranking to boost their momentum heading into the SSC Championship meet on Nov. 5.
