MELBOURNE, Fla. – PBA women's cross country started their season on Saturday morning, running at the Florida Tech Invitational.
PBA placed 3rd in the season-opening meet with a total of seven teams taking the course. Dune Costes led the 'Fish with a time of 20:38.22 which placed her 13th overall. Avery Knehans was 17th in the 5K race with a time of 21:04.82 while Katie Kanagy placed 20th with a time of 21:08.73.
Elise Combs and Allison Seng placed 22nd and 23rd, just five seconds apart, as Combs crossed the line in 21:11.08. Three Sailfish finished in succession led by Jessica Lykins who placed 28th. Haley Johnson and Christin Sustar followed Lykins.
The Sailfish are back in action next weekend as they take part in the University of Florida's Mountain Dew Invitational.
