GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The women's cross country team from Palm Beach Atlantic competed on Saturday morning at the UF Mountain Dew Invitational at the Mark Bostic Golf Course.
Dune Costes led the Sailfish for the second straight race, turning in a time of 20:12 on the 5K course to finish in 95th. There were over 300 runners and 35 teams racing in the meet.
Avery Knehans was the next 'Fish across the line with a time of 20:55 while Katie Kanagy was just five seconds behind her. Elise Combs was the fourth to score for PBA with a time of 21:11 with Allison Seng rounding out the top-five with a time of 21:25.
The Sailfish finished 18th in the field of 35 with Haley Johnson and Christin Sustar finishing in the Sailfish top-seven.
The 'Fish return to action on Sept. 28 as they compete in the Capital Cross Challenge in Sacramento, Calif.
