Women's Tennis Cruises Past Senators

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Palm Beach Atlantic women's tennis picked up their most dominating win of the season on Thursday, defeating Davis & Elkins by a final score of 8-1.

The Sailfish were able to play nine different players in the match as the team didn't drop a set in singles play. PBA lost only six games combined in the three doubles matches.

At No. 3 doubles Michaela Mignemi and Nicole Reich blanked Kelsie Roby and Amanda Fewster 8-0 while the duos of Johann Kern/Romina Bolagay and Yuilia Russu/Taylor Conti both won by the same 8-3 score.

In singles play Conti, Bolagay and Reich were joined in the win column by Estefani Fernandez and Vanessa Buchbinder. The Senators lone win on the day came at No. 1 singles.

Reich didn't drop a game to win over Karin Rosario 6-0, 6-0 while Fernandez was equally impressive with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Kelsie Roby. Conti only dropped two games in her 6-1, 6-1 win while Bolagay won at No. 4 singles, 6-3, 6-0. Buchbinder was the only one to have a little trouble, eventually winning 6-4, 6-2 at No. 2.

PBA wraps up their trip on Friday morning against No. 21 Tusculum at 8 a.m.
