HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Palm Beach Atlantic women's tennis snapped a four-match skid on Tuesday morning, defeating Tiffin University 7-2.

PBA picked up four wins in singles and swept doubles play to pick up the victory. Johanna Kern and Michaela Mignemi were the lone players to win in singles and doubles on the day as eight players saw the court.

Kern need three sets in singles to take down Juliette Sirgant 6-7 (6-8), 6-4, 10-4 while Mignemi didn't drop a set in defeating Cassandra Weidner 6-0, 6-0. Vanessa Buchbinder and Bella Mermersky were also straight sets winners in singles play with Buchbinder winning 6-2, 6-2 and Mermersky winning 6-3, 7-6 (7-3).

In doubles action Yuliia Russu and Taylor Conti didn't drop a set at No. 1, winning 8-0 while Mignemi and Nicole Reich earned an 8-1 win at No. 3. Kern and Romina Bolagay had a tougher time but picked up a win at No. 2, 8-6.

The Sailfish will take on Chowan at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday in their second of four matches in the Palmetto State.
