FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic baseball lost the series finale to Nova Southeastern on Sunday afternoon, losing by a 16-5 final score.  The Sailfish fall to 18-11 on the season and 7-5 in Sunshine State Conference play.  NSU improves to 17-9 with the sweep of the Sailfish and is now 9-3 in league play. 

The Sailfish struggled on the mound and at the plate early on in Sunday's game, as the Sharks scored at least one run in each of the first four innings while holding the 'Fish to just one hit and no runs in that time. 

NSU took an 8-0 lead into the fifth inning, where the Sailfish cut into the lead, as Kyle Simon hit a two-RBI single through the left side of the infield, scoring Carlos Lara and Jake Summey. 

The Sharks tacked on five runs in the sixth and two more in the seventh to pull away from the Sailfish, taking a commanding 15-2 lead.

The Sailfish got three runs in the eighth inning, highlighted by a two-RBI single up the middle by catcher Marcos Perez. 

Simon finished 3-for-5 in the game, as the senior drove in two runs and scored one as well.  Tufariello went 2-for-4 with a double, as he drove in a run in the eighth inning.

The Sailfish will be back in action on Thursday, March 29 as they open up a three-game series with Saint Leo at J.M. "Jake" Rubin Park. First pitch on Thursday is set for 6 p.m.
