KISSIMMEE, Fla. - The Sailfish finished 10th out of 22 at the Disney Cross Country Classic. The 'Fish competed in the Ursula Division which is the collegiate women 5k race named after a character from Disney's movie The Little Mermaid. Youngstown State was the overall winner and fellow Sunshine State Conference member Florida Southern was the top non-Division I team coming in second overall.
Cami Rickenbach proved once again that she is the strongest runner for the Sailfish as she finished with a time of 19:17 and finished 24th overall. The next Sailfish to finish was Katie Kanagy who came in 69th place with a time of 20:35. Avery Knehans finished fourth for the Sailfish and 84th overall with a time of 21:19. Christin Sustar rounded out the top five for the 'Fish with time of 21:51 and a 102nd place finish. It was a good day to be named Jessica as both Jessica Lykins (81st-21:02) and Jessica Chavis (105th-21:55) had personal best times.
Other finishers for the Sailfish Abby Reburn (118th-22:24), Hope Kanagy (149th-23:47), Abby Slater (153rd-24:29), and Crystal Agumagu (173rd-26:03).
The Sailfish look to rest up and prepare for the Pre National Invitational on Oct. 20 in Slippery Rock, Pa.
