WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic women’s tennis was knocked off by No. 3 Lynn University on Friday evening by a final score of 9-0 at the Mitch Gornto Tennis Center.

The Sailfish (1-3, 0-1 SSC) struggled in both singles and doubles action against the Fighting Knights (7-0, 1-0 SSC), winning just one game in doubles play. Maja Jovic and Taylor Conti were the lone ‘Fish to take a game, falling 8-1 at the second doubles position.

Things didn’t get a lot easier for the ‘Fish in singles play as PBA had to face three nationally ranked opponents at the top of the Lynn lineup. Leoni Polzin and Romina Bolagay fared the best for PBA in singles, taking two games each at the second and third positions against top-40 players.

The Sailfish will be back in action on Tuesday, as they make the return trip to Tampa to battle the Spartans after last weekend’s match was rained out.
