Box Score ST. LEO, Fla. – No. 38 Palm Beach Atlantic was no match for No. 3 Saint Leo in the Sailfish’s season finale on Saturday afternoon as the Lions came out on top 9-0.
PBA (9-11) had their best success in the top of their lineup in singles action but ultimately were unable to come away with a victory. Freshman Kathi Tesar gave nationally-ranked No. 39 Marine Beugre-Guyot a run before falling in straight sets, 7-6 (9-7), 7-5. Playing at number one, Nalerie Nagovitcina fell to No. 16 Isabella Robbiani 6-4, 6-4.
The Lions (20-1) took all three doubles matches as Teasr and Taylor Conti had the best showing at No. 1, losing 8-6. Michaela Mignemi and Teona Tatishvili also dropped their match, losing 8-4.
The loss ends the season for the ‘Fish after being ranked all season long. The Sailfish have no seniors on the roster.
