WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.-  The Palm Beach Atlantic women’s tennis team concluded it’s final home game of the season Saturday afternoon, defeating Flagler College 5-2 on Senior Day. The Sailfish win their 9th consecutive match, and are now 15-5 on the year.

The duo of Veena Vasquez and Valerie Nagovitcina got things going for the Sailfish, picking up an 8-5 win in the first doubles match of the afternoon. Leila Taracena and Michaela Mignemi picked up an 8-1 win in the third doubles match for the ‘Fish.

Leading 2-1 heading in to Singles play, Vasquez got things going with a 6-2, 6-1 win. She was followed by the 6-3, 6-1 win from Nagovitcina. Mignemi picked up a 6-3, 6-3 win to seal the deal for the Sailfish, giving the ‘Fish the 5-2 win on the afternoon.

The Sailfish travel to St. Petersburg, Fla. tomorrow to take on Eckerd College, match begins at 2:00p.m.
