LAKELAND, Fla.- The Florida Southern College women’s tennis team welcomed in Palm Beach Atlantic University on Saturday afternoon in an early-season tennis match. The #16-ranked Moccasins lived up to their lofty national ranking with a 9-0 sweep of the Lady Sailfish which dropped PBA to a tough 0-3 start to the 2010 campaign.
Senior Natalie Aleman and sophomore Amber Braaten teamed up for a solid effort at #2-doubles in putting forth PBA’s best showing in doubles action as they were defeated 8-5.
Junior Krishna Domenech gave the Fish their best showing in singles action with a 6-0, 7-6 (2) defeat at number six singles.
The Lady Sailfish will be back in action on February 18th at 6 p.m. as they will travel to nearby Boca Raton, Florida to take on Lynn University.
