Box Score 2 FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga.- For the second consecutive day the Palm Beach Atlantic University baseball team put up ten runs on their way to a National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) South Regional victory as Thursday afternoon featured a 10-5 victory over Tennessee Temple University. The regional tournament is being hosted by Emmanuel College who will have to beat PBA twice on Friday to earn a South Regional championship.
While official statistics are not yet available, it is certain that juniors Tony Livelsberger and Buddy Fisher were a big reason the Fish came away with another victory on Thursday.
Livelsberger did it with his bat as the junior first-baseman jacked a three-run homerun to put the Fish up 8-4 and then essentially iced the game with a two-run double his next at-bat to go up 10-5 which would be the final score.
Fisher went the first 5.1 innings on the hill for PBA before giving way to the bullpen. Martin Suarez notched the final 1.2 innings of relief to earn the save.
More information will be made available about this game as soon as possible.
The Sailfish will take on the host Lions at 1 pm on Friday for the region championship and an automatic bid to the NCCAA National Tournament later this month. Stay tuned.
