WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic University and Florida Southern College women’s tennis teams hooked up for a Friday matinee tennis match at Gaines Park where the Moccasins came out on top by a final tally of 7-2. The loss drops PBA to 1-3 on the season after opening the season with a victory.
Palm Beach Atlantic earned victories at #3-doubles and #6-singles as the Sailfish are still searching for an identity as a team.
Katie Livesay and Pamela Artigas combined to earn an 8-6 victory at #3-doubles while Artigas was also the lone singles winner for the Fish as she battled FSC’s Amanda Carns to a 6-7 (4), 6-3, 10-6 victory at #6-singles.
The Fish will continue their busy schedule to start the season on Wednesday, February 18th as they will travel to Barry University to tangle with the Bucs at 3:30 p.m.
