TAMPA, Fla. — The Sailfish of Palm Beach Atlantic (9-10) faced tough challenges against Nebraska (19-3) and Tampa (10-8),
PBA ending the match with a 1-4 loss to Nebraska. PBA's lone triumph came in the fifth match.
In the top flight,
Katie Galligan and
Angela Goggin of PBA fought hard in a three-set thriller against Nebraska's Bergen Reilly and Teraya Sigler. Galligan and Goggin claimed the first set 21-18, but the Nebraska duo bounced back to take the second 21-16. The decisive third set swung Nebraska's way, 15-9.
On the 2s court,
Maddie Kremer and
Savanna Rogers of the 'Fish were handed a straight-set defeat by Nebraska's Harper Murray and Andi Jackson, with identical scores of 21-17. Nebraska notched another point at the No. 3 flight, as Skyler Pierce and Laney Choboy outlasted
Sydney Corbett and
Katelyn Nadeau. After splitting the first two sets 21-19, 15-21, Nebraska sealed the deal 15-10 in the third.
Over on Court 4,
Maggie Cox and
Cameron Ring of PBA battled but ultimately fell to Nebraska's Olivia Mauch and Manaia Ogbechie. Despite dropping the first set 21-16, Cox and Ring rallied to take the second 21-19 before Nebraska clinched the match 15-8 in the third. The Sailfish secured their sole point in the No. 5 flight, with
Zoye Caroline and
Grace Reynolds dominating Kenna Cogill and Campbell Flynn in straight sets, 21-6, 21-11.
While against Tampa, The 'Fish managed to snag a win in the No. 3 matchup, their sole triumph of the day.

Claiming victory for the Sailfish at the No. 3 spot were
Sydney Corbett and
Katelyn Nadeau, who overpowered Ka Fredette-Huffman and Hailey Peterson in straight sets, 21-13, 21-15.
Maggie Cox and
Cameron Ring engaged in a hard-fought contest in the 4s against Anna Bayes and Lauren Duke. The match stretched to a third set, but Tampa came out on top, 21-19, 19-21, 15-10.
Peyton Baro and
Zoye Caroline faced off in the 5s against Taylor Bedinghaus and Sammie Ostrander, with the Tampa duo adding another point in straight sets, 21-17, 21-13.
The 'Fish are back in action this weekend as they travel to St. Petersburg for a two-day weekend invitational matchup.
