WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Palm Beach Atlantic's top flight beach volleyball tandem of
Katelyn Nadeau and
Maddie Kremer have been named the Sunshine State Conference Pair of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
The duo led the Sailfish to a pair of dominant victories on Feb. 14 at the Rinker Athletic Campus, anchoring Court 1 in wins over Florida Southern College and Warner University.
Against Florida Southern, Nadeau and Kremer delivered a straight-set victory, 21-19, 21-9, helping secure a 4-1 team win. After a tightly contested opening set, the pair took control in the second frame, using aggressive serving and consistent net play to seal the match.
The Sailfish tandem followed with another commanding performance versus Warner, cruising to a 21-12, 21-4 decision to lead PBA to a 5-0 sweep. The pair dictated tempo from the outset, limiting their opponents' offensive rhythm while capitalizing on transition opportunities.
Competing in the No. 1 flight, Nadeau and Kremer combined for a 2-0 record on the week without dropping a set. Their chemistry and veteran presence set the tone for Palm Beach Atlantic's lineup and were instrumental in the team's strong showing.
Palm Beach Atlantic returns to action this weekend as the Sailfish travel to FAU face several DI opponents, Coastal Carolina, Florida International, Boise State and FAU. The team takes on Coastal Carolina and FIu on Friday at 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
