GULF SHORES, Ala. - The Palm Beach Atlantic beach volleyball team concluded the 2025 season at the AVCA Small College Championship Tournament after dropping the semifinals match in the Gold Bracket to No. 1 University of Tampa, 3-0. Tampa would go on to be named the AVCA National Champions.
The No. 2 flight,
Camdyn Albrecht and
Katelyn Nadeau, were named AVCA All-Americans after the conclusion of the tournament after the Sailfish stellar run.
The Sailfish were seen receiving a bye in the first round of the Gold Bracket, leaving them to face the No. 1 seeded Spartans. The No. 4 position,
Sydney Corbett and
Savannah DeCarlo, along with the No. 5 pair,
Desi Waterman and Angel Goggin, did not finish their respective matches. Their flights did not alter the Sailfish's final results.
The No. 1 pair,
Anna Dunbar and
Serena Baumgart, were seen battling against their opponents. They went deep into the sets but ultimately fell short with scores of 21-17 and 21-15. The No. 2 flight was comprised of Albrecht and Nadeau who also fell short of the mark, posting scores of 21-18 and 21-19. The No. 3 flight featured
Annika Huhtamaki and
Abby Plevin who were seen pushing their opponents to the brink, but dropped the match with scores of 21-19 and 26-24.
