WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — The Palm Beach Atlantic men's basketball team remained 12th in the latest National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Top 25 poll, released Monday.
 
PBA held its position after posting a pair of conference victories last week, including a home win over Florida Southern and a road win at Saint Leo. The Sailfish continue to build momentum as the regular season enters its final stretch.
 
Palm Beach Atlantic currently sits in second place in the Sunshine State Conference standings and remains firmly in the national picture with its consistent play on both ends of the floor.
 
The 'Fish still lead the SSC in team defense, holding teams to 71 points per game and 39 percent shooting from the field. Offensively, PBA is second in the league in field goal percentage, shooting 50 percent from the field. 
 
Preston Le Gassick leads the 'Fish averaging 18.2 points per game, the fifth most in the league. The Australia native is third in the SSC with 4.8 assists per game. Alvin Tumblin Jr. leads the league in field goal percentage shooting 66 percent and averaging over 13 points per game. 
 
The Sailfish will return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Melbourne to face Florida Tech. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
