WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Palm Beach Atlantic men's basketball slipped four spots to No. 12 in this week's NABC Top 25 poll after splitting a pair of Sunshine State Conference games last week.
 
The Sailfish entered the week ranked eighth before falling at home to Barry. PBA rebounded to close the week with a win at Lynn, helping the Sailfish remain among the nation's top programs.
 
PBA sits in second place in the SSC standings with an 18-3 overall record and a 10-3 mark in conference play as the regular season enters its final stretch.
 
The Sailfish lead the conference in team defense, giving up an average of just 71.2 points per games. Teams shoot just 39 percent from the field against the Sailfish. PBA's offense sits second in the league in field goal percentage, scoring at a 50 percent clip. PBA leads the SSC in rebounding margin, out-rebounding teams by 9.6 boards per game.
 
Preston Le Gassick sits at fourth in the league, averaging 19.2 points per game. He is also third in the league with 4.8 assists per game. PBA's Christian Kirkland leads the SSC with 1.8 blocks per game. Alvin Tumblin Jr. has been a force for the 'Fish shooting 66 percent from the field while averaging 12.9 points per game.
 
The Sailfish return home Tuesday night to host third-place Florida Southern. Tipoff at the Rubin Arena is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
