MELBOURNE, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic men's tennis team was selected to finish in eighth place in the SSC preseason poll. The poll was voted on by the league's eight head coaches and coaches can not vote for their own team.  

The Sailfish are coming off a 4-16 record with a 1-6 record in SSC play during the 2025 season. Heading into head coach Marc Murray's fourth season at the helm, PBA returns eight players from last year's team and welcome three freshmen to the squad. 

Barry was selected as the favorite, receiving seven of the eight first place votes. Florida Southern came in second place receiving the lone remaining first place vote. Embry-Riddle, Saint Leo, and Rollins round out the top five. Lynn and Eckerd claim the two final spots in front of PBA. The SSC men's tennis championship will be held from Apr. 30 to May 2 on the campus of Lynn University.

The Sailfish kick off the season on Feb. 3 when they head up I-95 to take on Embry-Riddle at noon.
