WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Palm Beach Atlantic University has announced the hiring of Kasey Cox as the next head coach of Sailfish softball.

"She not only brings a proven record of success and player development, but also a heart for mentoring young women through a Christ-centered approach. Her commitment to our mission of faith and excellence makes her the ideal leader for our softball program."
 
Cox arrives in West Palm Beach following a highly successful, two-year tenure at Indian River State College, where she served as pitching and catching coach for the 2024 NJCAA National Champions. During her tenure, IRSC was ranked the No. 1 team in the NJCAA, the highest in program history, and posted a 100-19 overall record. Under her guidance, the program produced back-to-back FCSAA Pitchers of the Year in 2024 and 2025.

Cox brings nearly a decade of collegiate coaching experience, including previous stops at Louisiana State University Eunice and Mississippi College. At LSUE, she served as recruiting coordinator and helped lead the Bengals to a 2022 NJCAA World Series appearance. Her teams compiled a 111-64 record during her time in Louisiana, while producing multiple NFCA All-Americans.
 
A former Division I student-athlete at Tennessee State University, Cox holds a bachelor's in human performance and sports science. Her coaching journey began at Mississippi College as a graduate assistant, where the team set a school record for wins in 2019 and she earned a master's degree in athletic administration.
 
Cox officially begins her role with the Sailfish this summer and will lead the program into the 2025–26 campaign.
