TAMPA, Fla. – The Palm Beach Atlantic women's track team returned to Tampa for the Spartans Distance Classic.
The 'Fish started the day with the 1500m race.
Amberleigh Sorensen was the fastest Sailfish in the race, finishing second. She was two seconds back of the leader, running a season-best time of 4:45.88.
Abbie White earned fifth with 4:56.20.
Nella Petersen ran a personal best 4:59.31 to finish in 10th.
Natalee Kryman (5:16.26) finished 18th, and
Julia Kooyer (5:40.32) finished 22nd to round out the Sailfish lineup.
Hannah Atwell and
Alyssa Benson represented PBA in the 800m. Atwell finished just ahead of Benson as the two were neck-and-neck. Atwell ran a season-best 2:29.31 in 14th, while Benson finished 15th with a personal best of 2:29.59.
Dominyka Petraskaite led the way for PBA in the 5000m in 13th. She ran a personal best, 17:58.25, nothing the seventh-best time in program history.
Sadie Nordmeyer was right behind in 14th. She set a personal best time of 18:00.92, marking the eighth-best time in program history.
Isabella Del Busto (18:31.49) in 18th and
Kamea Baker (19:07.26) in 25th also represented PBA, each setting new personal records.
PBA track is back in action on March 21 at the UCF Black & Gold Invite.
