AZUSA, Calif. – The Palm Beach Atlantic women's track team sent three student-athletes to California for the Bryan Clay Invite.
The Sailfish competed on Friday and Saturday. The field was large, featuring several division I, division II, division III, NJCAA, and NAIA teams.
Dominyka Petraskaite highlighted PBA's Friday by setting a school record in the 800m. She finished 38
th with a time of 2:13.74.
Jeanne Corroy also competed in the event, placing 58
th with a mark of 2:14.76, a new personal best.
Daisy-Mae Struk represented the Sailfish in the 5k. She placed 43
rd with a time of 18:13.06.
On Saturday, the trio ran in the 1500m. Petraskaite set the second-best mark in school history. She ran 4:34.37 to finish 49
th. Struk placed 181
st with a time of 4:53.99. Corroy followed in 183
rd with a time of 4:57.00.
Next weekend, the Sailfish travel to Daytona Beach for the Sunshine State Conference Championships on Friday and Saturday.
