MELBOURNE, Fla.- Kash Ayuso and Anabel Ellison received All-SSC honors for their efforts in the 2024-25 women's basketball season as announced by the conference on Wednesday morning. Ayuso, a fifth-year guard, was named to the second all-conference team. Ellison, a senior transfer, was named to the all-defensive team. The poll is voted on by the conference coaches.  

Kash Ayuso, who cemented her legacy as one of the best players in program history this season, was named to the second team all-conference. Ayuso played in 27 games and started 26 of them. She averaged 15.2 points per game on a .456 shooting percentage. Ayuso also averaged 4.9 rebounds per game and 2.4 assists over the course of the season. On the defensive end of the floor, Ayuso also created 16 blocks and 59 steals during the season. Ayuso shot .831 from the free-throw line. She had a season high 36 points against Georgian Court in late November. Ayuso became the leading scorer in program history when she surpassed Hannah Grim with a 28-point performance on November 30, 2024, in a game against Shaw. Ayuso tops the list with 1,610 points.  

Anabel Ellison played her first season for the Sailfish in 2024-25 after missing the 23-24 season due to injury. Ellison led the conference in steals with 87 in 28 games for an average of 3.1 per game. She had 18 more steals than second place and 28 more than Ayuso who was third in the conference. Ellison also averaged 6.5 boards per game and had eight blocks during the season. On the offensive side of the ball, Ellison had an average of 10.8 points and 3.5 assists per game. Ellison also shot .828 from the free-throw line.  

The Sailfish women's basketball season came to a close on Tuesday evening after dropping their SSC quarterfinal matchup at Nova Southeastern.
