ORLANDO, Fla. – The Palm Beach Atlantic women's track team competed at the Black & Gold Invitational hosted by UCF on Friday and Saturday.
The event started on Friday with the 1500m race.
Amberleigh Sorensen led the way for the Sailfish, running a season-best 4:42.55 good for 29th place.
Dominyka Petraskaite also set a new season-best time in the event, finishing 40th with a time of 4:48.73.
Sadie Nordmeyer also represented the 'Fish in the race. She placed 47th with a personal-best time of 4:52.00.
Kamea Baker was the lone Sailfish competing in the 5000m. She finished 29th in the race, running a time of 19:15.33.
Saturday started with the 800m race. Sorensen and Petraskaite doubled in the event. Sorensen (2:17.18) led the way in 34th while Petraskaite (2:18.46) earned 35th.
Hannah Atwell set a new personal record in the race. She earned 51st with a mark of 2:29.06.
Natalee Kryman (2:31.15) earned 54th while
Alyssa Benson (2:31.66) placed 55th.
PBA track is back in action on April 4 at the Embry-Riddle Classic in Daytona Beach, Fla.
