MELBOURNE, Fla. - The Palm Beach Atlantic baseball team's
Dane Hall was named the Sunshine State Conference Pitcher of the Week on Monday.
The award for Hall comes after a dominant performance on Saturday against Felician. The transfer from Toledo tossed five no-hit innings, striking out nine, with three walks. His performance helped PBA complete a sweep over the Falcons and extend the Sailfish baseball winning streak to six. Hall now posted the second-best ERA in the Sunshine State Conference, posting a 0.56 ERA with 26 strikeouts in 16 innings pitched. He has only surrendered one earned run so far this season.
Hall becomes the fifth pitcher in PBA history to earned an SSC Pitcher of the Week honor. Hall and the Sailfish are off this weekend, but restart play next Tuesday against Barry. The game at J.M. "Jake" Rubin Park takes place at 6:00 p.m.
