WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — The climb continues for Palm Beach Atlantic men's basketball.

After another statement week highlighted by a marquee win over previously top-ranked Nova Southeastern, Palm Beach Atlantic surged to No. 6 in the national rankings, marking the highest placement in program history and further cementing its place among Division II's elite.

The Sailfish moved up after a 10-0 start that showcased both offensive firepower and defensive grit, capped by an 88–83 victory over Nova Southeastern at Rubin Arena. The win featured contributions across the lineup and underscored the balance that has fueled Palm Beach Atlantic's rise this season.

PBA has three players averaging double-digit scoring. Reigning SSC Player of the Week, Preston Le Gassick leads the way, averaging 21 points per game and shooting 47 percent from 3-point range. His partner in the backcourt Tyler Burton averages 11.5 points per game, shooting over 40 percent from downtown. Alvin Tumblin Jr. has made his presence felt in the post, averaging 10 points of the game, shooting 67 percent from the field.

Offensively, PBA has been one of the most efficient teams in the country, combining perimeter shooting with consistent production in the paint, currently sitting at No. 7 in the nation in field goal percentage. Defensively, the Sailfish have thrived by protecting the rim and winning critical possessions by rebounding the basketball, traits that were on full display against the Sharks in a contest that saw 21 lead changes. The 'Fish have the second-best rebounding margin in Division II.

The Sailfish remain unbeaten and sit atop the Sunshine State Conference standings, navigating one of the nation's most competitive Division II leagues. PBA is one of three SSC teams in the top 25. The Sharks fell from the No. 1 spot to No. 5, right in front of the Sailfish. Florida Southern sits at No. 25, falling from No. 16.

The Sailfish return to action later this week as they aim to defend their new national ranking and keep their climb going. PBA takes on American International on Thursday before hosting South Florida Bible College on Friday, Both games take place at 5 p.m. in Rubin Arena.
