WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic baseball team set their schedule for the 2026 season this afternoon. Coming off a 19-28 record, the Sailfish look to improve this season under head coach Kent Bottenfield, who is entering into his 15th season as the Sailfish skipper.
The Sailfish kick things off in 2026 with a lengthy homestand. The Sailfish are at home for seven straight games to begin the season. They welcome Catawba, Valdosta State and Cal State East Bay on the opening weekend of the season. The following weekend, Coker, Washburn and Bentley will all make their way through the "Jake." PBA ends the opening homestand with a non-conference, midweek matchup with Florida Tech on Feb. 11.
The Sailfish jump into conference play on Feb. 20 when they head to Florida Tech for their first SSC series of the season. PBA welcomes Saint Leo, Nova Southeastern, Lynn, Florida Southern and Rollins to the "Jake" for conference series this season. The Sailfish will travel to the aforementioned Florida Tech, Tampa, Eckerd, Barry and Embry-Riddle for away series.
The Sailfish return key contributors from last year's squad. Pitchers such as Dane Hall, Nolan Smoot and Derek Langfelder all return after contributing major innings last season. PBA also return a large number of starters from last season on the other side of the ball like Jake McNamara, Aidan Pierre, Patrick Rakes, Kody Kelly, Finley Holmes, Aaron Vetter, Giancarlo Chantres and Trey Miranda. The Sailfish also welcome a plethora of new talent in the form of four transfers and seven freshmen.
