KANSAS CITY, Mo.- The Palm Beach Atlantic men's soccer climbed to number three in the DII Men's Soccer rankings released by the United Soccer Coaches poll this week. The Sailfish earned two victories in the past with two shutout wins at Embry-Riddle and Eckerd.
The Sailfish had two games away from the RAC this week heading on trips to the Eagles and Tritons. In the trip to Daytona, the Sailfish secured three points in the SSC with two second half goals from
Tin Vastic and
Titus Beuckman, respectively and a clean sheet from key saves by
Flavio Giannini. PBA also traveled to Eckerd over the weekend where they took a dominating 5-0 victory in St. Pete. It was a night to remember for the 'Fish with
Mattia Bui,
Marko Borovic and
Paul Danner bagging their first goals with the Sailfish.
This marks the fifth straight week the Sailfish appeared in the United Soccer Coaches poll.
The Sailfish return to their home pitch on Wednesday, October 22nd at 6pm when they take on the #6 Lynn Fighting Knights in a key matchup for the SSC regular season title. The Knights are coming off a 4-3 loss in a high scoring affair at Rollins. The Knights were #1 in the USC poll before the loss.
