KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Palm Beach Atlantic men's soccer team reaches new heights in the United Soccer Coaches poll this week, landing at No. 5 after a win against No. 14 Florida Tech this past week. PBA sits at a 8-1-1 overall record and 4-0-1 in SSC play.
This past week, PBA recorded a 2-0 shutout over No. 14 Florida Tech.
Juan Hermoso was named the Sunshine State Conference Offensive Player of the Week after netting both goals in the match. The first goal came off the corner kick from
Paul Danner where Hermoso buried the ball deep into the left corner of the net, giving PBA a 1-0 advantage. Immediately after the start of the second half, Danner took another corner kick where Hermoso headed it into the goal for the 2-0 'Fish lead.
This marks the fourth consecutive week that the Sailfish have been ranked in the United Soccer Coaches poll.
The Sailfish return to action tomorrow, Wednesday, October 15 at Embry-Riddle for another SSC matchup. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m. (EST).
