Juan Hermoso has been named the Sunshine State Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Hermoso recorded a brace in the Sailfish 2-0 victory over No. 14 Florida Tech this past week. PBA sits at a 8-1-1 overall record and 4-0-1 in SSC play.
In the matchup against #14 Florida Tech, Hermoso netted a goal in the 37
th and 47
th minute. His first goal came off the corner kick from
Paul Danner where Hermoso buried the ball deep into the left corner of the net, giving PBA a 1-0 advantage. Immediately after the start of the second half, Danner took another corner kick where Hermoso headed it into the goal for the 2-0 'Fish lead. PBA went on to secure the 2-0 victory against the Panthers.
This is the first time this season and in his Sailfish career that Hermoso has been named SSC Offensive Player of the Week.
The Sailfish will be back in action at Embry-Riddle in Daytona Beach, Fla. on Wednesday, October 15. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m. (EST).
