9/12/2023 4:23:00 PM

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Palm Beach Atlantic men's soccer team moved into the United Soccer Coaches poll this week after a 2-0 week on the road. The Sailfish come in at No. 25 in the poll after starting 3-1 with wins over Flagler, Lander, and Francis Marion.

The Sailfish began their season on Sept. 2 at Flagler with a 4-1 victory over a side predicted to finish second in the Peach Belt Conference. PBA controlled the game from the jump after a Harry Gardner goal in the second minute and were up 4-0 before conceding a late penalty. The 'Fish hit the road this week for two matches in South Carolina where they had 1-0 wins over Lander and Francis Marion. Narcis Bou Dalmau found Hans Oeftger in the box for his first goal on the season in the 25th minute to down the Bearcats. Two days later. Bou Dalmau assisted Gardner who found the back of the net inside of a minute against the Patriots.

The Sailfish make a return to the national poll where they have been regulars over the past seasons. The Sailfish were ranked No. 2 in the country during week four of the poll last season and have been inside the top 5 during seven of the last 11 seasons. PBA has been led by Gardner's two goals, Bou Dalmau's three assists, and a defense that has yet to concede from open play on the year against division II opponents.

The Sailfish return to action this Saturday when they travel to face a tough Lynn side. The Fighting Knights are 4-0 on the year, are receiving votes in the USC poll, and have yet to surrender a goal.
